Support Provider Application

Become a Support Provider

Do you remember your first day walking into your classroom after being hired as a teacher for the first time ever?  Were you handed the keys with a smile and pointed in the right direction with no "Good Luck" to go along with the smile?  Do you remember what your first day or even your first year of teaching and what it was like?  Did you have a mentor paired up with you who at the very least showed you where the rest room was, or the copy machine or even the lunch room?

Have you thought about helping the "New Teacher", you know - those new teachers just fresh out of school who have never taught before and are now hired to teach at your school?  You could become a Support Provider, you could be matched up with one of those new teachers to guide them through their first and perhaps even their second year of teaching.

Would you like the opportunity to work collaboratively with a new teacher?

Would you like to be a part of the solution to keeping qualified teachers in their profession?

There is also a stipend for Support Providers for each teacher they support.

East Bay Induction Consortium values their Support Provider, they are a group of experienced educators, giving of their time to work along side the beginning teacher.  Sometimes the Support Provider is a retired teacher, or an Induction graduate.  What ever the case may be, we welcome Support Providers and if you think you would like to be one, you will find the Support Provider Application on this page.
